The year? 1900. 1900 is generally said to be the year that cola first came to Cuba, introduced to the island by American troops. Ingredients

- 3 oz. spiced rum

- 1 can cola

- Juice of 1 lime

- 2 lime wedges, for garnish

Directions

To a large liquid measuring cup, add spiced rum, cola, and lime juice and stir. Pour over 2 ice-filled glasses.Garnish each glass with lime wedge.

• 3⁄4 oz Gin
• 3⁄4 oz White rum
• 3⁄4 oz Silver tequila
• 3⁄4 oz Vodka
• 3⁄4 oz Triple sec
• 3⁄4 oz Simple syrup
• 3⁄4 oz Lemon Juice
• Cola

HOW TO MAKE THE LONG ISLAND ICED TEA COCKTAIL

Fill a highball or hurricane glass with ice and add all the ingredients except the cola.

Top with a splash of cola and stir briefly.Garnish with a lemon wedge.
