Kardamena is a beautiful coastal village about 30km from the city of Kos and just 6 km from the airport.

Ancient Alassarna, one of the six ancient cities of the island, was an important religious center of the times, as testified by the ruins of temple of Apollo and other, smaller temples of the ancient and Byzantine periods. For the past 30 years or so, every summer systematic excavations by the University of Athens take place. Neolithic, geometric and classic era remnants indicate, consistent habitation of the area which flourished during the Hellenistic period and retained it’s vigor in the Roman and early Christian eras.

First day at Kardamena,Kos...walking all morning at the shop streets...so many new things to see and enjoy!...It's after one o'clock...time to rest..and have a cold-cold beer...wondering around and looking for that place that will satisfy this feeling of chill and relaxation...a beautiful balcony suddenly appears...full of jasmine trees and...yes...this is it...the Garden Bar with its friendly staff...the perfect table is found and the summer breeze is "playing" with the menu...so many beers to choose from!...and all the salads seem delicious...ok,ready to make the order: a Garden Special Salad and a large beer on draught please!!
